Oh Happy Day!

Hi there stamping friends!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!
For my card I used several Lawn Fawn stamp sets (listed below) to create what I hope is a cheerful looking card.  I stamped my sentiment in the center of a die cut circle, then stamped and paper pieced the little birds from the Hello Sunshine stamp set.  Next I filled in around the outside of the circle with flowers, leaves, a butterfly and hearts then colored in the leaves using Copic markers.  Once my card was put together, I added Glossy Accents to the centers of the flowers.  I'm also entering this card in the Anything Goes Simon Says Stamps Challenge.
Supplies: Hello Sunshine (birds & sentiment), Chit Chat (flower & heart), Winter Sparrows (leaf) Lawn Fawn, Circle dies, Buttons, Glossy Accents (center of flowers), Copic markers, PTI designer paper, Foam tape.

Hello Sunshine

Hello and good morning!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!
I created two cards for this week's sketch, both cards use the Lawn Fawn stamp set Hello Sunshine.  The first card above I used the bumble bees from the set, stamped them, colored them with Copics and added Stickles to their wings.  The hello was die cut three times, glued together and then I added Glossy Accents to give it a shine (I saw this tip done on Kristina Werner's blog and really liked it).  for the lower portion of my card, I die cut three hexagons and backed them up with designer paper.
For my second card I used the cute birds from the Hello Sunshine set and again colored them different colors using Copic markers.  For my main panel I ended up using a Studio Calico stencil, tacking it down over my taken with teal cardstock and used a Versa Mark ink pad over the top of it, then used clear embossing powder and my heat tool to give my background a glossy chevron look (see photo below).  I'm entering both of my cards into the Lawnscaping Challenge #88 and the Anything Goes Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp site.
Supplies:  Hello Sunshine + Hello die Lawn Fawn, Copic markers, Circle dies, Buttons, Hexagon die, Glossy Accents, Stickles, Studio Calico stencil, Doodlebug Designs paper, Foam tape.

Happy Birthday

Hello!  Today I've got another Lawn Fawn card to share.  Yesterday while I had the Critters at the Dog Park set out, I started pulling out some supplies to create a few more cards.  So today I'm sharing a birthday card for my nieces birthday who loves animals.  I hope she likes it, I tried to use papers and colors that I thought she would like, like the black denim paper with the bright colored hearts. It's strange because the happy birthday Chit Chat bubble was stamped in lime green and in real life matches the green hearts in the designer paper but in my photos looks yellow.  Have I mentioned that I miss my Photoshop editing program ):
I'm entering this birthday card into a few challenges which inspired me today, the first is Lawnscaping Challenge #88 which is to use texture on your card, the second is the Fusion Card Challenge where I used just the sketch and the third is the Anything Goes Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp blog.
Supplies: Critters at the Dog Park + dies, Chit Chat + dies (Lawn Fawn), Circle dies, Embossing folder, Bakers twine, foam tape, Recollections designer paper.

Critters at the Dog Park

Hello there!  Hope you're having a good day!  Today I've got a thinking of you card that I created using more of the fun new Lawn Fawn products that I purchased.  The little dogs from the Critters at the Dog Park are too cute, I couldn't resist getting this set.
The inspiration for my card today came from two challenges, the first was the Lawnscaping Challenge #88 which was to use texture on your card (I added the embossed polka dots, multi layers and embellishments for texture) and the second challenge was the Retro Sketches Challenge #128.
Supplies: Critters at the Dog Park + dies, Chit Chat + dies, Embossing folder, Circle die, Doodlebug Designs dp, Button, Bakers twine, Glitter pen for the bow.

Thank you for your visit!

Hippo Birdie to YOU - {SSSC232/CMCC33/STB}

Hello there!  It's time for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge
This week I ended up creating two birthday cards using the sketch (which I flipped).  I also used a fun new Lawn Fawn stamp set that I recently purchased.  I had so much fun using these stamps, it's nice to switch it up some times and instead of always creating floral or more formal cards, it's fun creating something cute.  Both cards use the same Lawn Fawn Year Four stamp set with coordinating dies but I mixed up the colors/patterns.  I'm entering this first card in the Color Me Challenge #33 and both cards into the Seize the Birthday Challenge: Anything Goes.
Hippo's are my favorite animal from the zoo, I always end up taking a ton of pictures of them whenever we go to the zoo especially the Toledo Zoo where you can get close up to them.  The picture below is from years ago when our youngest was still small.
