SSSC102 - Happy Mail

Good morning!  It's time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Karen's got another great sketch for all of us and I hope you'll play along.  For my card today I used the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamp set Happy Mail.  I stamped and colored this sweet image using my Copic markers then paper pieced her dress and added my mat.  Then I added stitching to each of the designer paper background panels, a row of scallop border then tied on a ribbon.  I finished off my card by placing the sentiment which I flagged at one end using a square punch and my rose.  My circle (rose) is not exactly following the sketch so I guess I'm just a rule breaker livin on the edge, lol.
On a side note, I haven't been blogging very much lately because my mojo has taken a little vacation, I think it has to do with the fact that I've got the winter blaaahs.  If you live in a state where you have winter then I'm sure you know what I'm referring to.  Hopefully I'll snap out of it soon and be back to creating and more blogging.

SSSC101 - Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Happy Wednesday!  I'm a few days late with my card for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch because this last weekend I was sick and wasn't up to stamping.  So now that I'm feeling much better I wanted to share the card I created using the SSSC101 and the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit.  This month's KI Kit is so fun, the papers and supplies in the kit are cheerful and sweet with all the glitter, hearts and buttons!  I used the TE stamp set For the Love of Cupcakes on this card and as you can see I flipped the sketch so my card was vertical and as I'm typing this post I'm now noticing that my card is not actually following the sketch (great!) oh well it is what it is and I had fun making it.
If you'd like to see more samples using this month's KI Kit you can click here to visit the Key Ingredients gallery!
OK I'm not sure what happen to my sketch picture here but this was the best I could do.

Valentine Teacup of Love Card

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing one of the Valentine's Day cards that I've created for my Etsy shop, I currently have six of this style card listed along with a few other Valentine and every day cards.  This is a tent topper card and measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" and uses a combination of different stamp sets to create.  I thought the little "Love" hearts and buttons inside a teacup would be fun and something different for a Valentine's Day card.  If you're interested in visiting my shop you can click here.
Have a great weekend and I'll be back on Sunday with a Sweet Sunday Sketch card!

Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome!  Today is the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop and the theme for the hop is "Love".  I created a Friend Valentine card using the products from this month's TE Key Ingredients Kit and the TE stamp set Sweet Occasions.  I started out by stamping and coloring this fun image with my Copic markers, then created the card base and layers using the glittery designer papers from the kit.  Then I tied on my ribbon, matted my image and added three threaded buttons to the upper right corner of my image.
I really love the TE Sweet Occasion stamp set, it's so versatile with all of it's great sentiments and images!  If you'd like information on signing up to receive the Key Ingredients Kit delivered to your door you can click here and to see more samples using this month's kit you can click here.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the Hop!

SSSC100 - What's Cooking?

Wow can you believe that today is the 100th Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge?  I know, that's a lot of great sketches Karen has come up with to share with all of us.

For my card using the sketch I pulled out the cute My Favorite Things a' la mode stamp set What's Cooking?  I had some Bittersweet Basic Grey designer papers from last year and paper pieced her apron then colored her using my Copic markers.  In the close up shot below you can see how I added buttons and tiny pearls along the scallop circle for a little bit of added detail.

Colors: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Carmel, Regal Rose.

Tweet Hearts Bird - Exciting News!

That's right I've got some exciting news to share, I'm staying on as one of the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Design Team members!  Today the new Key Ingredients Kit has been release and throughout this week all of the design team members will be sharing their cards and projects over at the Key Ingredients Blog so be sure to stop by.  I'd also like to welcome a new addition to our team the talented Barbara Anders.

The card I have for today uses the Taylored Expressions stamp set Tweet Hearts which I thought would be fun to pair with the Tickled Pink designer paper.  I used the colors soft suede, certainly celery and cool caribbean and finished my card off with a bow and some bling.

SSSC99 - Valentine Greetings

It's time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  For my card today I used the stamp sets With All My Heart and the sentiment from Grateful Greetings.  I ended up making my circle from the sketch a little smaller so that I could use the extra large flower punch as my main image but over all stuck to the sketch.
This is the time of year that always seems to drag, it's after Christmas, its cold out (at least where I live) and you're stuck inside...so it's a good thing someone came up with Valentine's Day.  With all of the red and pink colors, flowers and chocolates who could resist getting into Valentine's Day.

Whooo Loves Ya!!!

Well hello there!  I'm so glad today is Friday, it's been a long and busy week.
The projects I have to share today are for Valentine's Day and what says Valentine's Day better than owls right? lol.  I had this 3D owl treat holder in mind for some time now and decide to try and make it work today, can you guess what tools I used to make this fun Owl Treat Holder?  He's made from the SU Sizzix Pillow Box die {I love this die}!  As of Monday I'll be adding this Owl Valentine card and treat holder set to my Etsy shop along with some other fun Valentine projects so I hope you'll stop by!

Birthday Teapot Easel Card & Something New

Something new at least to me, is that I've opened up my own Etsy shop.  If you're visiting my blog right now you'll see that I've add a link and glimpse of the cards that I have for sale along my sidebar.  If you're interested in taking a look or making a purchase you can click here or in my sidebar below the cards pictured.  I'll be adding new cards continuously so please be sure to check back!

The card I have for today is a duplicate of what I created for my sister-in-laws birthday, (she loves her tea with fresh lemon) and she liked it so much that I made a few more in different colors for my shop.  It's an easel card and I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Tea for Two and Tea for Two Additions.

As always thank you so much for stopping by!

SSSC98 - Here's the Story...

Hello!  I hope all of you had fun ringing in the New Year, ours was low key and spent going out for dinner and coming home to play Wii games and watch movies.  This was the first year that one of our kids actually made their own plans for New Years Eve but I'm sure it won't be the first.

Today is Sunday and the Sweet Sunday Sketch team is back after taking a week off for the holidays.  Karen (our Sweet Sunday leader) has a fun sketch for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge this week and I hope you'll play along.
For the card that I created using the sketch, I used the My Favorite Things - a'la modes stamp set Here's the Story.  I had so much fun creating with more of the goodies I received for Christmas on this card including the new Janome sewing machine I've wanted for so long.  I've always loved the look of stitching on handmade cards and now I can add stitching on mine!  I paper pieced the pants on this cute image (yes plaid pants lol) and colored the rest using Copic markers.

Supplies: Here's the Story - MFT, Flower die & Scallop border die - MFT, Bloom & Grow designer paper - My Minds Eye, Bakers Twine, Button, Copics, Nesties, Twill ribbon, Pop dots, Stitching.  Colors: Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal.
