SSSC79 - Just Believe

It's time for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, you can find the sketch and link to play along on Karen's blog The Sweetest Thing.  The card I have for the sketch uses the stamp set Just Believe, this stamp set is so pretty and comes with so many great images in the set.  I turned the sketch vertical so that I could stamp the stemmed images length wise but I could see using this sketch again and again in either direction.

Supplies: Just Believe, Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, Ribbon, Oval Nestie, Scallop Trim border punch, Corner punch, Pearls, Dimensionals.  Colors: Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette.

TESC122 - Notably Ornate

Well it's a rainy day here at our house, my son's baseball game was cancelled and the family is laying low so I thought I would create a card.  The last two weeks I've been running my kids around to some summer activities, tennis camp, preschool summer camps in the morning and basically playing taxi driver to all three of them.  This week I'm happy that for the most part the camps have come to an end and I can start thinking about next weekends getaway trip I'm taking.  My friend Vicki and I are headed to Illinois for the CHA {Craft & Hobby Associtation} Super Show and were both very excited about going!  I'll be taking lot of pictures so that I can share them when I get back.  I'm looking forward to meeting so many people I've only know through the Internet and seeing all the fun products.
The card I have for today uses the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #122 and the stamp set Notably Ornate.  This sketch gave me the chance to ink up the new Notably Ornate stamp set and play, I really like how the large image fits nicely into the Top Note die and I love the new Antique Brads.

Supplies: Notably Ornate, Love Letter DSP, Top Note Die, Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Ribbon, Eyelet border punch, Antique Brad, Dimensionals.  Colors: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Artistic Etchings, Tiny Tags, Vintage Vogue, Newsprint DSP, Ribbon, Small circle punch, Rhinestone Brad, Eyelet border punch, Medium Jewelry Tag punch, Pearls, Dimensionals.  Colors: Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Basic Black.

TESC119 - SFYTT Thank You Cards

Hello!  Today I have two sketch challenge cards to share, both using the same color combination from the new Stampin' Up Color Coach.  I don't know about you but I'm always looking for new color combinations for cards and scrapbook pages that's why I knew I had to have the Color Coach.  The Color Coach gives you a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" sample of each of the colors that Stampin' Up carries, monochromatic colors that coordinate and two group color combinations (each including 3 colors) for every color.  The colors I used on today's cards from the Color Coach are Real Red, Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie.

The card above was created using the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge and the stamp set For All You Do.

Supplies: For All You Do, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Ribbon, Buttons, Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Piercer, Dimensionals.
The card below was created using Jen's Sketch For You to Try and uses the stamp set Embrace Life.
Supplies: Embrace Life, Sincere Salutations, Square Lattice Impressions Folder, Nestie, Brads, Aqua brush, Dimensionals.

SSSC76 - Vintage Butterfly

Happy 4th of July!!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and you would think that because its the 4th of July I would have something red, white and blue but I don't.  I hope you're not getting sick of seeing Vintage style cards using this color combination, I guess I was just on a roll and went with it.  Karen's great sketch is a square but I opted to make my card standard size in order to have room for the stamped swirl and small butterflies as well as the spiral punched edge.  The main butterfly is layered (using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die)with the bottom large butterfly in basic black, then the same sized butterfly cut out of the Newsprint designer paper with a smaller butterfly cut out in the center of it.  Then topped off with an embossed butterfly with punched out flower and rhinestone brad added to the center (see close up photo below).

Supplies: Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Elements of Style, Newsprint DSP, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, Ribbons, Scallop Trim border punch, Spiral Border punch, Circle punches, Brads, Rhinestone brad, Boho Blossoms punch, Sponge, Dimensionals.  Colors: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight.

Day 2 of Artistic Etchings Collection

Hello!  It's day two of sharing a few of the Vintage projects I've created using some of the products from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  Today I have a round card and a pillow box treat hold that's fit for a Queen.  The tag on the round card was first stamped with the medallion from the Artistic Etchings stamp set then sponged with Daffodil Delight, then I took and used the Basic Black ink pad directly around the edges of the tag for more distressing.  I stamped the "Amour" and added my stamped and cut out Eiffel Tower with Dimensionals.  The Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder (love it) was sponged with the DD ink as well so the embossing would pop and the Tiny Tag was stamped distressed and tucked in just under the knot of the two ribbons.  This was so fun and easy to create!

Supplies: Artistic Etchings, Tiny Tags, Medium Jewelry tag punch, Newsprint DSP, Ribbons, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, Scallop Trim border punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Filigree Designer brad, Rhinestone brad, Nestabilities dies, Sponge, Dimensionals.  Colors: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight.
If you've had a chance to look over the new Stampin' Up! catalog you'll see on page 123 (you can view the catalog by clicking the link in my side bar) that they have these fun pinched flowers I guess you could call them.  Well I wanted to try and make some so I used this one on the top of my Queenie Pillow Box.  To make a pinched flower I used a piece of 1 1/8" x 11" Daffodil Delight card stock and punched the long edge of it with my Scallop border punch, then scored in between each scallop, folded and taped end to end.  I'm sure there is another way of putting these together (if there's a hard way I've usually got it covered) but I took Tacky Tape and taped a large punched out circle as a base underneath and taped the crown and punched circles to the top.
Supplies: Pillow Box Bigz Die, Artistic Etchings, Newsprint DSP, Tiny Tags, Jewelry Tag punch, Scallop border punch, Scallop Trim border punch, Circle punches, Ribbon, Tacky Tape, Dimensionals.

Artistic Etchings Collection

Good morning and happy TGIF!  Today I'd like to share the first card in a collection of cards and projects I've created using some products from the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I've been having fun creating projects in this collection that have a Vintage Feel to them which is something I'm not quite used to but I'm enjoying.  The color combination of Basic Black and my new favorite Daffodil Delight was inspired by a few cards in the last Stampin' Success (demo only magazine).
Supplies: Artistic Etchings, Define Your Life, Newsprint DSP, Rhinestone Brad, Circle punch, Ribbon, Staples, Dimensionals.  Colors: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good day!
