SC261 - I {Heart} Hearts

Today I have another Stampin' Up Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog sneak peek using the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts.  The first card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, it's difficult to see from the photo but one of the Real Red back ground panels was embossed and one was stamped with hearts.  The center heart on the main image was stamped, cut out and pop dotted and I punched a circle next to the heart image so I could feed my ribbon through and tie a knot.

Supplies: I{Heart}Hearts, Whimsical Words, Ribbon, Circle punch, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Brads, Pop dots.
Colors: Basic Black, Real Red.

This next card was created using last weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.
Supplies: I{Heart}Hearts, Grateful Greetings, Pinking Hearts Border punch, Scallop circle punch, Circle punch, Ribbon, Piercer, Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Pop Dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red.

I'd like to wish all of you a Happy New Year and to thank you for your visits, compliments and kind words on my cards and projects it mean more than you know.

Tote-ally Tess Card and Pillow Box

Happy Wednesday!  I hope all of you had a great Christmas spending time with your loved ones and making good memories.  Our Christmas was spent with my side of the family for Christmas Eve then my husbands for Christmas Day. On Saturday we had a mini high school reunion for my husband and another family get together at our house on Sunday.  We were busy from last Thursday to Sunday and had a great holiday.
Today I have a matching card and Pillow Box to share, I used the new stamp set Tote-ally Tess that will be in the Occasions Mini Catalog coming out on January 5th.  This stamp set is so fun to work with and my inspiration was the little flower I stamped inside the card Tess is holding.  The Pumpkin Pie flower is repeated in both the card, the box and designer paper.  I paper pieced her shirt and colored the rest of her using an aqua brush and ink.  I had started out creating a card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge but I thought the flower looked best in the lower right corner instead of upper right so I'm not sure if my card still qualifies.

Supplies: Tote-ally Tess, Tiny Tags, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Sizzix Pillow Box die, Sizzix Baskets & Blooms die (for the flowers), Sizzix Matchbox die, Medium Jewelry Tag punch, Circle punches, Corner Rounder punch, Scallop border punch, Nestie, Ribbon, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Aqua brush, Pop dots.  Colors: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Going Grey.

Thanks for stopping by!

Patterned Pines - Merry Christmas

Less than two more days until Christmas can you believe it?  This is my last offical Christmas card for this year that I'm sharing today.  I used the hostess stamp set Patterned Pines to create this diorama card, you can find the directions here.  It's been a long time since I've made a diorama card but for some reason looking at the trees from this stamp set I wanted to give it a try again.  Each of the pine trees on this card were stamped three times twice in Garden Green and once in Real Red for the punched out circles on the trees.  All of the trees were popped up and for the center tree I doubled the pop dots to make it stand out even more.  The sides of the front Real Red panel were stamped with the snowflake that comes with this stamp set.

Supplies: Patterned Pines, Simple Snowflake, Grateful Greetings, Snowflake punch, Circle punch, Oval Coluzzle and Nestie, Button, Pop dots.  Colors: Real Red, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip.

I'd like to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas!
I hope you enjoy spending this holiday with your loved ones with lots of good food, laughter and joy.

Kindness

Hello friends!  I hope your weekend was good!  I spent Sunday baking Christmas cookies and Saturday I had a special evening out with my daughter going to see the Russian Ballet perform the Nutcracker and out to dinner.  It was a great weekend! The card I have for today uses two new products from the up coming Occasions Mini Catalog and will be avaliable to order January 5.  I used the new stamp set I {Heart} Hearts and I absolutely love the fact that there are three different heart punches that work with this set because Yes I'm a Punch~aholic!  The other fun new product that I used is the Pinking Hearts Border punch for along the bottom of my card.  The sketch I used for this card was Jen del Muro's from a week ago, I liked it so much but never got around to using it until now.

Supplies: I {Heart} Hearts, Heard from the Heart, Melon Mambo DSP, Heart to Heart punch, Pinking Hearts border punch, Ribbon, Circle Nesties, Pop dots.  Colors: Melon Mambo.

Hearts aren't just for Valentine's Day!
Thanks for stopping by!

SSSC48 - Patterned Pines

It's Sunday and you know what that means, it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!  Karens been busy cooking up more fun sketches for all of us to try and today's sketch is certainly a keeper.  I know most of you have seen a ton of cards created using this Patterned Pines stamp set that I've used on my card today but for me its a new set.  I really don't have that many Christmas stamp sets so I decided to choose this one as my hostess set from my last Stampin' Up order.
So am I the only one who hasn't finished their Christmas shopping?  I actually feel pretty good about the fact that I mailed most of my Christmas cards on Friday and just have a few more to mail come Monday but the shopping is another story.

Supplies: Pattered Pines, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Merry Moments DSP, Scallop edge punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Photo Corner punch, Piercer, Pop Dots, Brads.  Colors: Garden Green, Real Red.

It sure would be great if you would join in on the fun and create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen’s blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card using Mr. Linky so we can all see your creation!  (For some odd reason I couldn't enlarge the picture of this weeks sketch after trying three times to upload it)

New ~ Vintage Vogue

Happy Thursday!!!  For today's post I'm sharing two projects I've created using the new stamp set Vintage Vogue which is in the up coming Stampin' Up Occasions Mini Catalog starting January 5th.  The New products in the Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration Catalog are going to knock your socks off!  I just received my pre-order yesterday evening and after going through all of the fun stuff I ordered I was very pleased.  Hint: New style of stamps and punches and everything is so easy to use!  When I first layed my eyes on the Occasions Mini Catalog I knew this Vintage Vogue set was a must have and was happy to find out that this set will be carried over into next years main catalog.

It may be difficult to see but the bottom portion of my card was wheeled with the cordinating Very Vintage wheel using Pretty in Pink ink.  The matchbox below was so fun to create with all of its little details, the Pretty in Pink sleeve for the box was also rolled with the Very Vintage wheel and the edges were sponged.  The large "F" was stamped then cut out and popped, the flower and leaves were stamped cut and applied to the corner with a pearl for the center.  My favorite part about this box is the little tag which comes from the new stamp set in the up coming Occasions Mini Tiny Tags with its cute matching new styled punch...so fun!

Supplies: Vintage Vogue, Very Vogue Wheel, Tiny Tags, Tag punch, Eyelet border punch, Sizzix Matchbox die, Ribbon, Pearl, Piercer, Pop dots.  Colors: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel, Mellow Moss.
Thank you for your visit!

Christmas Deer Treat Bags

Today I wanted to share the treat bags I've made for my youngest son's preschool preview class he has once a week.  I usually don't do punch art but I wanted a treat bag topper that would be fun for kids so I thought I would try and come up with something and this is what I did.  The base of the reindeer was cut out from Soft Suede using the Sizzix Top Note die and scored down the center, the Chocolate Chip antlers are from the large Sizzix Snowflake die and were trimmed and cut apart to look like antlers.  The eyes circle punches of course, the Real Red nose and Soft Suede ears were punched out using the small Oval punch with the ears trimed along one side to thin them down.  The Kraft colored muzzle was punched out using the retired Key Tag punch and a mouth was drawn on using an SU marker.  I made 15 of them and each Christmas treat bag was filled with a Hersey bar and mini candy cane.
Here's the whole herd of deer, I hope the kids like them!
I'm waiting for the delivery of my Stampin' Up new Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration preorder today and can't wait to share new samples with you!

SSSC47 - Flight of the Butterfly

Good morning and happy Sunday!  For today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge I created a card using the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly and chose a bright color scheme.  Over the last few days we've been having colder tempertures and winter feels like its settling in so a warm sunny card is just what I needed for today.  Karen's fun sketch works great for either a square card or a standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card and I love the layout, it gave me the opportunity to use several layers on my card.

Supplies: Flight of the Butterfly, Wonderful Favorites, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Butterfly punch, Scallop edge punch, Modern Label punch, Circle punch, Flower brad, Pumpkin Pie marker, Ribbon.  Colors: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron.
Supplies to create this card can be purchased here at my Stampin' Up site!

Snow Swirled

Well thanks so much to all of you who left such sweet comments on my blog makeover, if you couldn't tell I was really excited about the change.  Today I have a card that I created using the stamp set Snow Swirled, usually when I use this stamp set I use the tree stamp in the set but today I wanted to focus on using just the snowflakes.  The main image is the large snowflake and was stamped three times with one being the base and the other two layered on top.  The smaller snowflake was used to randomly stamp the Real Red panel using Real Red ink.

Supplies: Snow Swirled, Merry Moments DSP, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Square punches, Circle punches, retired Snow Blossom punch, Coluzzle, Piercer, Brads, Ribbon, Gem, Pop dots.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive.

A New Look

Maybe you haven't been to my blog in a while or maybe you have but if you stop by now your sure to see a BIG change in how it looks!  It's been since last year that I have been looking for a new design for my blog and after finding Veronica's site vk design company my search was over.  Veronica was such a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job of creating exactly what I wanted for my blog.  Today I felt like a little kid I was so excited to see my completed blog design and Christmas present to myself and I couldn't be happier!
Thanks Veronica

On a Pedestal

Hello everyone! I thought I would take a break from Christmas cards and create a few birthday cards instead.  I used the stamp set On a Pedestal to make two 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" cards.

Supplies: On a Pedestal, Striped ribbon, Scallop edge punch, Square punches, Horizontal Slot punch, Embossing folder, Chocolate Chip marker.  Colors: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Apricot Appeal.

This second card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #115 which I thought was a nice clean looking sketch so I kept it simple and sweet!

I have something totally fun for my blog and something I'm so excited to share so be sure to stop back later today!

SSSC46

It's Sunday morning and its time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, Karen has given us another great sketch for this week and I hope you'll give it a try! I've been missing in action for most of this last week as far as my blog goes even though I really wanted to have time to post a card before Thanksgiving. Life was just too darn busy between having Thanksgiving at our house and all of the cleaning, grocery shopping and cooking I didn't have a chance. That and my youngest son who had the flu the week before and seemed to be getting better ended up Thanksgiving night with a 103.5 fever in the middle of the night. Never a dull moment here at our house, he has an ear infection and is on antibiotics so hopefully this time he'll get healthy and stay that way. Any whoo I had the top card made for the sketch today and then decided to make another. After venturing out yesterday I was driving along and I saw so many fresh cut Christmas trees on top of cars and trucks that it made me think of the stamp set Loads of Love.

Supplies: (top card) Enjoy Every Moment, Maine Blueberry DSP, Ribbon, Small circle punch, Photo corner punch, Piercer, Pop dots, Button. Colors: Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Bashful Blue.

Supplies: (bottom card) Loads of Love, Merry Moments DSP, Ribbon, Photo corner punch, Aqua brush. Colors: Chocolate Chip, G

arden Green, Real Red, Going Grey, Basic Grey.

If you'd like to play along create a card using the Sweet Sunday Sketch then go to Karen's blog The Sweetest Thing and link your card so we can all see your creation.

Snowmen

Hello everyone! I don't know about you but I'm a huge sucker for snowmen, when I decorate for Christmas there are snowmen through out our house and a good majority stay out until Valentines Day because they look so wintry. So when I saw this snowman stamp in the stamp set The More the Merrier I knew it would get good use and be fun to stamp with. I tried using some nontraditional colors on this card since it seems that most of the Christmas cards I've been creating are red and green and I actually like this combo.

Supplies: The More the Merrier, Sparkling wheel, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop edge punch, Piercer, Brads, Ribbon, White pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Pop dots, Aqua brush. Colors: Taken with Teal, Real Red, Kiwi Kiss.

Our youngest son is over the flu and feeling better thank God, thank you for all the well wishes. I'm ready for Thanksgiving here at our house, all day yesterday I cleaned and then finished my grocery shopping so now I just need to keep the house clean until Thursday.

SSSC45 - Dasher

It's Sunday which means its time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Karen has another fun sketch for us today! The card that I have for the sketch uses the stamp Dasher and the Merry Christmas is from the Holidays and Wishes stamp set. The Real Red panel on this card was rolled with the So Swirly wheel using Real Red ink.

So join in on the fun and create a card using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, then go to Karen's blog (The Sweetest Thing) and link your card using Mr. Linky so we can all see your creation.

Happy Birthday to my oldest son Zach, today is his actual birthday even though we celebrated last Sunday! The second half of this last week I was busy taking care of our youngest son who has the flu. I thought maybe we would escape from anyone else in our family getting the flu since less than two weeks ago Zach was down for a week with it but I guess not.

Mojo Monday - Branch Out

Today's card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #113 and uses the stamp set Branch Out which is on the SU dormant list. I had this card ready to post yesterday but for some reason Blogger was giving me trouble unloading my picture. This card is actually very sparkly in real life because every falling snowflake in the main image has Dazzling Diamonds on it. The Bashful Blue panel was stamped with snowflakes from the Christmas Punch stamp set and the Brocade Blue panel was embossed using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate.

Supplies: Branch Out, Christmas Punch, Best Yet, Large oval punch, Scallop oval punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Ribbon, Brads, Perfect Details Texturz Plate, Sponge. Colors: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue, Real Red.

This last Sunday was the birthday party for our boys which was lots of fun, its still hard for me to believe how fast their both growing.
Have a great day!
